Out today! What a great little collection of poems, in which every reader is sure to find a new favourite....
A mix of funny and serious, classic and contemporary styles, and in many forms, this would be a great addition to any bookshelf, as either an introduction to independent reading of poetry for younger readers, or to be read aloud for an audience of listeners alike. Beautiful to look at too, with illustrations from the very talented Katy Riddell throughout adding to the experience.
Poems like 'TheTeacher Said' reminded me of old favourites and classics such as Janet and Allen Ahlberg, whilst there are also definite tones of Rosen-style read-alouds throughout (a good thing!).
Favourite poem for me however, was 'The Sea', in which I loved the rhythm, rhyme and wordplay that captured the movement and sounds of the sea and the questions it inspires...
Great job, Alex Wheaton...a fantastic anthology.

In terms of safety, adjustable weights offer an added layer of protection. Since the weight is secured by a locking mechanism, there’s less risk of the plates shifting montreal weights or falling during a workout. This stability is crucial when lifting heavier weights, as it reduces the chances of injury. Additionally, adjustable weights often come with built-in safety features, such as smooth edges or non-slip grips, to further enhance the user's safety during their training sessions.
